i tried a somewhat different digital painting design where i used colored silhouette to block everything then i just render the whole thing

Critiques
Congrats on receiving my first *true* critique ever.
Anyways, onto the critique.
I love the colors you chose; bright turquoise is one of my favorite colors and you bring out the shininess very well. While I prefer the look of flat coloring myself (and IMO I think it would bring out the colors even better), I still like the way you colored this a lot. His/her hair and tail look great, and you did an excellent job on the texturing of the fur and hair.
My only complaint is that he/she is a little too androgynous; I can't tell whether Toki is male or female. He could be a bishonen guy or a fairly masculine girl. It could go either way, so I suggest you give him/her some characteristics to define that more.
